Dear Friends,

The Bainbridge Schools Foundation (BSF) is an independent, non-profit organization working closely with our public school community. Our success depends on enthusiastic volunteers, a small, dedicated staff, and a generous community. Our goal is to unite the community in support of local public schools.

State and federal funding only cover 78% of the Bainbridge Island School District’s budget. BSF directly supports the District, bridging this critical funding gap to support students and educators and seed innovative initiatives. This year, we have pledged $425,000 to the District to help fund educator positions and support vital programs, including:

  • Academic Intervention at every level K-12

    • Reading and math specialists at the elementary school levels

    • Academic support clubs at the intermediate school level

    • Specialists at the high school who support students at risk of not graduating

  • Educator Support

    • Recruitment, retention, and mentorship opportunities for teachers through the Beginning Educator Support Team Grant.

  • Innovation

    • We are implementing new Social Emotional Education by providing curriculum, materials, and teacher training.

Planning is underway for our largest fundraising effort, the 21th annual Gala, held on February 8, 2025, at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo. Our goal for the event is over $300,000. In our collective effort to support all Bainbridge Island students.  Would you consider supporting BSF through a donation to our auction? Our procurement form is below. Wishing you the best in 2025. Thank you for your consideration.
