Dear Friends,

The Bainbridge Schools Foundation (BSF) is an independent, non-profit organization working closely with our public school community. Our success depends on enthusiastic volunteers, a small, dedicated staff, and a generous community. Our goal is to unite the community in support of local public schools.
State and federal funding only cover 78% of the Bainbridge Island School District’s budget. BSF directly supports the District, bridging this critical funding gap to support students and educators and seed innovative initiatives. This year, we have pledged $425,000 to the District to help fund educator positions and support vital programs, including:
-
Academic Intervention at every level K-12
-
Reading and math specialists at the elementary school levels
-
Academic support clubs at the intermediate school level
-
Specialists at the high school who support students at risk of not graduating
-
-
Educator Support
-
Recruitment, retention, and mentorship opportunities for teachers through the Beginning Educator Support Team Grant.
-
-
Innovation
-
We are implementing new Social Emotional Education by providing curriculum, materials, and teacher training.
-
Planning is underway for our largest fundraising effort, the 21th annual Gala, held on February 8, 2025, at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo. Our goal for the event is over $300,000. In our collective effort to support all Bainbridge Island students. Would you consider supporting BSF through a donation to our auction? Our procurement form is below. Wishing you the best in 2025. Thank you for your consideration.
